So I am totally new to blogging and hardly a techy. In fact, I am easily frustrated until I get used to things, which often takes a little while. I was already totally frustrated with this process and ready to quit, but motored through and I’m good for now. Let’s see what tomorrow brings!
So this is a blog about what I’ve learned about exercising, fitness, diet and fighting aging in my 51 years on this Earth. Plenty of mistakes, many injuries, a few “procedures,” a lot of non-traditional medicine, countless different eating styles and workout approaches, experimentation with many supplements and workout aids, impressive drops in body fat percentage, impressive muscle gains and a surgery later, and I feel like I might actually have some good helpful experiences to share that you all can assess, learn from or totally ignore! Either way, maybe it will be interesting and entertaining.
Oh, I forgot to mention my name is Lance, and after these 51 years, with probably over 35 of them spent in the gym on a pretty consistent basis, I have attained what I believe to be the best level of fitness in my lifetime. I was more ripped in my late 20s and early 30s, but I had nagging injuries back then and much less muscle on me. I weighed 150 back then (and for a while in my mid 40s when I dropped back down under 10% body fat) and now I am between 175 and 180 with only a small increase in body fat percentage.
So I’m gonna start with this blog and I plan to add a YouTube component in short order, assuming I don’t throw my arms up in frustration first. I plan to talk about things like how I feel physically from day to day as I’ve gotten older, what I eat, supplements I take, the workout aids I use and experiment with, the workouts I do and have done in the past, surgeries and “procedures” I’ve had done, non-traditional medicines I engage in, etc. It’s gonna be a pretty open discussion, I’m sure I’ll get off topic from time to time, and I hope you all get involved.
Back shortly!
